Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Yesterday going to the mailbox was awesome!
The fresh new June issue of Elle Decor was inside waiting for me.
I look forward to it every month. From cool interiors, “what’s hot” trends
to new fabrics and color combinations. Elle Decor inspires me in so many directions.
In this month’s issue, I  discovered a new web site La Plates.
You can go on line to design your own melanie plates
with many different back rounds and fonts to choose from. Perfect for summer tablescapes!

These peonies are truly incredible, the colors, scent and size are better than i have ever seen. Any bride who loves peonies and is planning her wedding should plan her wedding for the end of may beginning of June.. the most wonderful time of the year; peony season.

MANNA Nourish Awards 2010

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

We were asked by the talented Brian Kappra of Evantine Design to create one of the four pods of color for the MANNA Nourish Awards 2010 at the 23rd Street Armory .

Brian created the concept of four different color stories by four different designers (TableArt, Lamsback Floral Decorators, Jamie Rothstein Floral Design, and Evantine Design) to showcase Stephen STARR Events’ four different food concepts.

We had the color teal and the “El Vez” food station.

We used White Phalenopsis Orchids and White Hydrangea on top of the large central vase in our plexiglass pond for the guacamole station.

While the taco station had a giant tree of Fantail Willow and King Protia.

The last third of our pod had a large white ottoman with green moss balls and teal pillows.

It was a wonderful event and we are still so honored to have been asked to participate in this important benefit.
