Leola Produce Auction

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Yesterday at the office, Susan shared an amazing recipe for butternut squash soup.
Even though it may still be warm and muggy out,
it is time to celebrate the fall and harvested produce.

We had a very special client who asked for extra large white pumpkins. We would love to share with you images taken from The Leola Produce Auction located in Lancaster County, where went went to search for the perfect pumpkins.
It is a wonderful resource for Fall pumpkins and produce.

HUGE Pumpkins

These were the pumpkins that we “won” for our client.  They were a bit bigger than anticipated and the van was riding a little low on the way back home but it was a fun and interesting day.

Fall Inspiration from New York Flower Market

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

One of the many great things about being in the business of flowers is that each season brings a different color pallete with variety of textures. Recently, Kathy went to the New York Flower Markets and took some great photos of flowers that inspired all of us!

Creative Labor Day Picnic with CBS

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

We had a great morning taping a segment for
CBS Talk Philly on Creative Labor Day Picnics.
The segment is about how to use items from around your home
to make a creative Labor Day Picnic Table
while still incorporating family traditions.

flowers from Maple Acre Farms

The flowers were all from Maple Acre Farms,
a local family farm located in Plymouth Meeting.

In addition to amazing local fruits and vegetables,
there are 6 acres of pick-your-own Zinnias available for everyone to enjoy.
Take your camera – great photo opportunities!

blueberries

Tartlet pans containing a healthy snack of blueberries were placed at each guests seat.
The place cards made from “recycled, recycled” grocery bags were held up with clothes pins.
Dish towels from IKEA were used as napkins.
Spattered tin plates placed on ceramic chargers are a nice change from plastic or paper.
Break out the fun stuff!

Jamie is the best! It is so fantastic to work together.
She laughs at my jokes and makes the hard work fun.

Pat's Ciarrocchi dress

We all loved Pat’s Ciarrocchi dress!

I have so much respect for Pat and all she has accomplished. I loved talking with her on and off camera. The segment will air on Monday at 12 on CBS.
We hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend

Many Thanks to Donna Benner and the whole CBS Crew!
