Inspired by Van Gogh, the Dutch Post-Impressionist noted for his bold color and rough beauty, TableArt,  Eventions Productions and Stephen Starr Events created a memorable Opening Gala for the Van Gogh Up Close exhibition. A special thanks to the fabulous Marie Labbancz who captured the evening with her incredible photography.

The evening began by leading guests up the Great Stair Hall
through a path of blooming branches.
The Eventions Team added dramatic branch gobo’s. The effect was spectacular!

The contrast between the modern square mirrored charger
and the navy shimmer linen was elegant and dramatic.

Guest tables were placed around the Upper Balcony overlooking the Great Stair Hall.
Trailing down the center of each table were modern still life floral arrangements created from oncidium orchids, craspedia, fringed tulips and calla lilies accented
with birch branches and twinkling lights.

Twinkling lights in the arrangements could be seen from across the balcony.
For added ambience loose lavender rose petals were placed inside LED votives.

It was a pleasure to work with each of the talented professionals
to create a memorable evening celebrating Vincent Van Gogh.

Christina Hadlow as our new Wedding Specialist.

Christina’s eye for style began the Fashion Institute of Technology
where she studied International Fashion Design. Her experiences at Issac Mizrahi Couture,
The Hearst Corporation and Ralph Lauren prepared her for the world of Bridal Couture.
Her relationships at Carrolina Herrera, Amsale, Reem Acra, Judd Wadell and Vera Wang gave her opportunities to design couture bridal gowns.

Christina’s passion for forecasting trends and designing for her bridal clients lead her to the wedding and event industry. Prior to TableArt, she designed and coordinated destination weddings and events in Park City, Utah.

Christina’s work has been published in Bride’s Magazine, Groom Magazine
Inside Wedding Magazine, StyleMePretty and Utah Bride .

Candles could be placed on top of these birch cuts in staggered heights
trailing down the center of a table or front hall table….
or placed on the floor to line a hallway as a dramatic entryway.

The simple winter still life would last the season and flowers
could be easily added if guests were coming over.

Three ways to use Birch Bark and Branches

1. Wrapped birch bark around the outside of a container for a seasonal fresh look
2. Cut birch bark into strip, write guest name and use as a place card.
Add a small branch for texture at each guests place setting
3. Use bark and branch as accents when wrapping gifts

A traditional phalaenopsis orchid planted in a textural container is a nice twist to a classic gift.

The combination of lady slipper orchids and fiddle head ferns
is a modern approach to seasonal green and white.

Adding seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs such as lotus pods and eucalyptus
to centerpieces is another  great way to bring in texture.

These gorgeous purple artichokes would look amazing
designed in a kitchen wreath accented with a fabulous bow.

The red neif amaryllis has an usual flowering center that is different from traditional varieties.

Seeing a wall of teddy bear and reindeer topiaries
nestled in between red poinsettias and herbs topiaries was wonderful.
If I had ribbon with me, I would have tied holiday bow ties
on each of them and given them to everyone who needed a smile.

I did have to laugh at the one Easter bunny who snuck in there..

Can’t you just see this guy with a colorful bow tie!!!

Whether it is hung on a door or tied to the front of your car,
there is nothing quite like the texture of the holiday wreath that makes its way to your home.

We hope that we have inspired you to create and think a little differently.

We are busy in the studio getting ready for shooting a segment on Holiday candy buffets
for CBS Talk Philly that will air at 12 noon on Thursday, December 9.

from events new life and our love of spreading smiles amongst friends,
family and local organizations.

and the flowers from the magnificent gala.

TableArt was very happy to GreenHeart some of the flowers from the Gala to the
Susan G. Komen For The Cure Luncheon held at the Loews Hotel and
The Springside School for Girls.

The girls had a lots of fun time creating necklaces out of leis for the birthday celebration of their fabulous first grade teacher Mrs. McRae.

The loft like space with cool large-scale floor to ceiling windows
was the perfect venue for a fall Bar Mitzvah full of textures, seasonal fruits and flowers.

A textured leaf pattern of light danced on the wall behind the adult place card table.
The effect created an unexpected and dramatic shadows against the liquid amber branches

Lighting provided by Eventions Productions.

Liquid amber, eucalyptus pods, pomegranates, and mangos
were designed on the farm table utilized for place cards.

Peachtree & Ward created a beautiful tapas bar for the adults.

The vintage wine barrels used as high top tables looked amazing
next to these newly installed curving mod walls.

The adults and kids shared the same dining room.
The dance floor was positioned in the center of the space for everyone to enjoy.

The industrial bar was created out of circular truss and lit with a spectrum of brilliant colors.

A special thanks to John Armich for capturing the evening with his incredible photography.

It was wonderful for TableArt to be a part of the first
of many amazing events to be held at the newly redesigned Peche.

In addition to launching our website and using Two Paperdolls to help put our event style on the web, we also worked with them to create new letterpress business cards. They truley capture our simple, organic, and fashionable style that we hope to portray through each event we design. Beautiful detail and beautiful cards!

We have been anticipating the launch of our new website and blog and the day has finally arrived! Working with our neighbor and friends at  Two Paperdolls has been a great adventure exploring web design and new ways to present our event designs. Our vision from the beginning was for each featured event on the website to tell a story of its own and lend itself to the beautiful details. We came up with the idea that a storyboard styled display of photos would collectively work together as one and tell our viewers the most important pieces of each wedding, mitzvah, and social event we design. Chris Loringer from Two Paperdolls web design knowledge helped us tremendously in being able to portray the idea. We hope to provide inspirations for our events on our blog and then to translate each event story through our website. Our clients and relationships are very important to us and help to inspire our designs; we are very excited to share that energy and style with you all!!
